About The Position

The West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine are seeking an Infectious Diseases physician. The successful candidate will practice at Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, WV. This role involves providing excellent patient care and actively participating in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. WVU Medicine is West Virginia University’s affiliated health system, West Virginia’s largest private employer, and a national leader in patient safety and quality, comprising a network of 25 hospitals and affiliated clinics.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
• Eligible for state medical license.
• Completed an internal medicine residency program.
• Completed an infectious diseases fellowship program.
• Board certified/eligible in infectious diseases.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Practice in the area of infectious diseases.
• Provide excellent patient care.
• Actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
