About The Position

Vituity is seeking Hospital Medicine physicians to practice at HSHS hospitals in Illinois, including HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland. The role is part of Vituity’s 100% physician-owned partnership, which offers physician partners autonomy, local control, financial transparency, peer-level support, and career development opportunities. Board-eligible or board-certified hospitalists are sought; Family Medicine physicians will also be considered. Visa candidates are encouraged to apply, and an Illinois state license is a plus.

The practice includes a 25-bed critical access hospital with a 7-bed open ICU and STEMI Receiving Center and Stroke Center designations. Hospitalists see 16–18 encounters per day per hospitalist, while nocturnists see 12–15 encounters per night. The emergency department runs codes, and no procedures are required. Vituity-staffed emergency department and tele-critical care physicians provide integrated care at the site.

The position offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, including health plan options, dental and vision coverage, HSA, life and AD&D coverage, a 401(k) plan, annual profit distributions, and partnership opportunities that include equity ownership and K-1 tax advantages. Estimated annual base compensation is $275,000–$900,000, depending on site, specialty, clinical volume, schedule, and experience. Total compensation, including partnership income, varies by site and may exceed the stated range. Compensation for part-time and per diem roles is prorated based on clinical hours worked.
