About The Position

Oregon Health & Science University - Knight Cancer Institute is seeking a dedicated Float Provider to join our Community Hematology Oncology (CHO) team. In this 0.0 FTE role, you will provide coverage across several CHO clinic locations throughout the Portland metro area, helping ensure seamless access to high-quality hematology and oncology care for our patients. The position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive hematology and general oncology care within a community-based setting while benefiting from the resources and expertise of an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Requirements

  • MD, MD/PhD, DO, MBBS, MBBCh
  • Medical oncologist/hematologist licensed to practice medicine in Oregon
  • Board-certified/board-eligible in medical oncology/hematology.
  • Desire to practice in a community-based clinical environment as part of an academic health care system.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coverage across several CHO clinic locations throughout the Portland metro area.
  • Provide comprehensive hematology and general oncology care within a community-based setting.
  • Care of patients with hematologic and oncologic disease at the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute.
  • Participate with other Division and CHO staff and provider teams as needed.
  • Participate in administrative committees and councils of OHSU, Legacy, and other community partners as approved by the Division Head and Section Chief.
  • Engage in public service through consultative activities with non-university groups with the knowledge and consent of the Division Head and Section Chief.
  • Participate, as desired, in the education of medical students and house staff.
  • Assure that every patient has an opportunity to be considered for a clinical trial.
