Dignity Health Medical Group – Dominican is seeking a motivated Board Certified/Eligible physician to join our patient-centered organization in Santa Cruz. This role offers program leadership potential within our Commission on Cancer (CoC) Accredited program, allowing influence over clinical protocols, staff mentorship, and cultivation of a high-performing culture centered around the Mary & Richard Solari Cancer Center’s multidisciplinary approach. The position is located in Santa Cruz, California, a coastal community known for its scenic beauty, outdoor lifestyle, and vibrant culture, offering over 300 days of sunshine, beaches, surfing, hiking, biking, a rich arts and cultural scene, excellent schools, and proximity to Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Requirements

A valid and unrestricted California medical license
Board eligible or board certified in specified area of medical specialty (ABMS or AOA)
Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program

Responsibilities

Provide expert hematology and oncology care, utilizing the co-located Solari Infusion Center for modern treatment delivery.
Collaborate with leadership to shape clinical protocols and expand oncology service lines within the Santa Cruz community.
Lead weekly Tumor Boards and participate in multidisciplinary rounds for the 17-bed inpatient oncology unit.
Partner with navigators and social workers to ensure a seamless, supportive patient journey from diagnosis through survivorship.
Actively mentor clinical staff and foster a collaborative environment that prioritizes provider well-being and patient outcomes.
