About The Position
Seeking a Hematology & Oncology Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Mechanicsville, VA. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient services with a focus on clinical duties. The physician will work a Monday-Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm, managing a patient volume of 12-25 in outpatient settings and 2-8 in inpatient settings. The practice consists of 70% Oncology and 30% Hematology, with no Internal Medicine duties. The facility is a 225-bed hospital with a Level III trauma designation. Malpractice insurance, travel, and lodging are covered.
Requirements
- Active VA license
- Board Certified (BC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Epic EMR system.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical coverage in Hematology & Oncology.
- Manage inpatient and outpatient cases.
- See 12-25 outpatient patients per day.
- See 2-8 inpatient patients per day.
- Focus practice on 70% Oncology and 30% Hematology.
- Work a Monday-Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm.
