About The Position

We are seeking a Hematology & Oncology Physician for a new practice opening in Lewisburg, PA. This is a Locum Tenens position covering a brand-new Hematology/Oncology practice opening in September 2026. The role involves both clinic and hospital practice settings, with an opportunity to help establish and grow a new service line. The practice will focus on general hematology, community-based medical oncology, and adult cancer care and blood disorders. The physician will work alongside a support staff including front office staff, a registered nurse, a medical assistant, and a nurse navigator, with additional support personnel available. Hospital specialty support is also available.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology.
• Active Pennsylvania License or IMLC LOQ in hand at presentation.
• DEA required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical coverage for a new Hematology/Oncology practice.
• Manage general hematology cases.
• Treat community-based medical oncology patients.
• Provide adult cancer care and manage blood disorders.
• Conduct rounding if hospital consults are required.
• Handle phone consults as needed.
• Admit patients as needed.
• Participate in establishing and growing a new service line.
