About The Position

We are seeking a Hematology & Oncology Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Knoxville, TN. This role involves clinical coverage only, from June 22, 2026, to December 21, 2026. The physician will be responsible for inpatient rounding and clinic coverage, managing malignant hematology and bone marrow transplant (TCT) cases. The patient demographic is adults, with a daily patient volume of 10-12 in clinic and 8-10 during inpatient rounds. The facility utilizes Oracle/Cerner EMR systems and provides support from RNs, MAs, and APPs. This is a Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm clinical shift schedule.

Requirements

• TN license required; Universal License (IMLC) accepted
• BC in Hem/Onc
• BLS certification
• Clean background
• Name clear + NPI
• Current flu vaccine

Nice To Haves

• Focus on transplants preferred
• No solid tumor cases

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient rounding and clinic coverage
• Manage malignant hematology and bone marrow transplant (TCT) cases
• See 10-12 patients per day in clinic
• See 8-10 patients per day during inpatient rounds
• Collaborate with MAs, RNs, and APPs in a supportive team environment
