Nicklaus Children's Health System and Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), its physician-led multispecialty group practice, are hiring a board-certified or board-eligible, fellowship-trained neonatologist for a 19-bed Level II NICU in Collier County, Florida. The unit is transitioning to a Level III NICU to support the growing needs of the Naples community. The role offers an opportunity to help build and expand the NICU and participate in a comprehensive perinatal and neonatal program. The neonatologist attends deliveries, provides prenatal consultations for high-risk babies, resuscitates and stabilizes newborns in the delivery room, and provides leadership, oversight, and supervision in the Level II nursery. The unit is staffed around the clock by advanced practice providers employed by NCPS. Neonatologists round during the day and provide on-call coverage from home. The position is part of the NCPS Section of Neonatology, with access to Nicklaus Children's Health System educational and professional development resources. The unit follows policies, procedures, training, and competencies shared through collaboration with Nicklaus Children's. The position also includes an appointment to the faculty of Florida International University (FIU) Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. Nicklaus Children's is a pediatric health system with a 325-bed hospital, a network of more than 10 regional urgent care centers across five counties, and physician practice locations throughout South Florida. Its neonatology program receives referrals for critically ill neonates from across Florida, Latin America, and the Caribbean. The position is in Naples, in Southwest Florida's Collier County.
