Attending Physician
About The Position
Infinite Medical P.C. is seeking an Attending Physician to oversee and manage primary medical care for residents at skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. The physician will serve as the primary care provider, taking responsibility for residents’ overall health and well-being, with support from a dedicated full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. The role involves collaboration with advanced practice providers and other care professionals to provide compassionate, personalized care. The position is part-time, three days per week, in the Bronx, New York.
Requirements
- Board-certified physician.
- Experience in primary care and long-term care.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to support and mentor NPs and PAs.
- Ability to lift at least 20 pounds and stand, walk, or work on one's feet for up to 6–8 hours per day.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary care provider for residents in skilled nursing facilities and manage their medical care.
- Conduct patient rounds and collaborate with NPs and PAs to assess and manage resident care.
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses while overseeing the management of ongoing medical conditions.
- Discuss treatment plans, prognosis, and advance care planning with residents and their families.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure adherence to healthcare regulations.
- Work with nurses, therapists, and specialists to provide comprehensive care.
- Support and mentor NPs and PAs in delivering care.
