About The Position

As an Advanced Practice Practitioner treating patients with Addiction Recovery Services, you will work with a team of physicians, APPs and nurses and collaborate frequently with therapists to provide medical and addiction treatment to a diverse population. At Rochester Regional, you will have a wide range of practice opportunities at multiple locations with in-person and remote opportunities. Our team meets weekly and supports each other daily. Requirements

BS: Physician Assistant (Required)
PA-C - Certified Physician Assistant - National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
RPA - Registered Physician Assistant - NYS Office of Professions
Compassionate, patient-centered approach with an interest in supporting individuals through recovery
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with patients and colleagues
Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, multidisciplinary team

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in chemical dependency, primary care, or hospital medicine preferred

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients receiving addiction recovery services
Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patients' conditions and progress
Prescribe medications and manage orders as clinically appropriate
Collaborate closely with physicians, APPs, nurses, therapists, and other members of the care team
Provide compassionate, trauma-informed care while educating and supporting patients throughout recovery
Maintain thorough, timely, and accurate clinical documentation
