About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse supports clinical operations and compassionate patient care in the Dermatology Department in Clifton Springs. The role provides direct patient care, supports medication administration and reporting, maintains computerized medical records, and helps ensure clinical areas and exam rooms are properly supplied and ready for use. The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with one of the listed schedules: 8:00–4:30, 7:30–4:00, or 8:30–5:00.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing or hold an ASN or BSN in Nursing.
• Current New York State licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• BLS - Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse certification through the NYS Office of Professions.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote and restore patients’ health by completing the nursing process.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
• Perform various treatment procedures.
• Provide physical, educational, and emotional support to patients, friends, and families.
• Supervise assigned team members.
• Administer medication and give or receive relevant written and verbal reports from or to appropriate staff according to departmental protocols.
• Maintain concise, pertinent, and complete documentation using the computerized medical record process.
• Ensure clinical areas are properly supplied and exam rooms are available and stocked.
