About The Position

Centurion, the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Indiana Department of Correction, is seeking an Addiction Recovery Specialist at Indiana State Prison in Michigan City, Indiana. The role provides supportive substance abuse treatment and rehabilitation services to patients in a correctional facility through outpatient treatment, addiction recovery education, and group counseling. The position is full-time, daytime, Monday through Friday. Pay is $24.01–$26.44 per hour, depending on certification and experience. A bachelor's degree in Human Services is preferred. CADAC I or CADAC II certification (or higher) is required, or the candidate must be able to obtain CADAC I or CADAC II within 24 months of hire.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
CADAC I or CADAC II certification or higher (including LAC, LAC-A, or LSW), or actively working toward CADAC I or CADAC II certification with the ability to obtain it within two years of hire.
Must show or obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening.
Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Ability to pass and maintain a security background clearance.
A higher-education substitution for experience requires a four-year college degree and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification.
