This is a Per Diem position, typically working evenings or weekends. The Addiction/Recovery Specialist monitors and provides support to patients, facilitates various recovery-oriented activities, and assists with adjunct groups/meetings. They also provide support during evenings and weekends, help de-escalate emotional reactions, collect bio-psycho-social data, and conduct initial family contacts. New patients receive an orientation to the facility, and staff monitor patients during free time and prepare them for bedtime. Significant events are communicated through logs, charts, and verbal reports. Work is performed in a clinical environment, and employees are accountable for job-specific obligations and organizational policies.
