About The Position
The IMA Group is seeking a Physician Assistant in Altoona, Pennsylvania, to perform independent medical evaluations for individuals applying for disability benefits. This is an evaluation-only position with no treatment, on-call duties, or follow-up patient management. The role focuses on thorough, objective clinical assessments and the preparation of clear medical reports using a digital platform.
Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania Physician Assistant license.
- NCCPA certification (PA-C).
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
- At least 1 year of clinical Physician Assistant experience.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
Nice To Haves
- Clinical experience in primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, internal medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R), or orthopedics is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Take medical histories and perform focused physical examinations.
- Review diagnostic testing and medical records.
- Document findings in clear, accurate, objective medical reports.
- Submit completed evaluations through the digital platform.
