About The Position

The IMA Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner in Altoona, Pennsylvania, to perform independent medical evaluations for individuals applying for disability benefits. This is an evaluation-only role with no treatment, on-call duties, or follow-up patient management. The position focuses on thorough, objective clinical assessments and documentation. The IMA Group’s Government Services Division supports local, state, and federal agencies by delivering professional and objective medical and psychological examinations and ancillary services.

Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner license.
• Master’s degree in Nurse Practitioner Studies.
• At least 1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, internal medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R), or orthopedics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take medical histories and perform focused physical examinations.
• Review diagnostic testing and medical records.
• Document findings in clear, accurate, objective medical reports.
