About The Position
The IMA Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner in Altoona, Pennsylvania, to perform independent medical evaluations for individuals applying for disability benefits. This is an evaluation-only role with no treatment, on-call responsibilities, or follow-up. The position focuses on thorough, objective clinical assessments and submitting completed evaluations through a digital platform. The IMA Group’s Government Services Division supports local, state, and federal agencies by providing professional and objective medical and psychological examinations and ancillary services. Its Payer Services Division provides evaluation and screening services to carriers, third-party administrators, public entities, and employers across workers’ compensation, disability, liability, and auto markets. The Clinical Research Division conducts Phase II–IV clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas through a nationwide network of sites and virtual capabilities.
Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner license.
- Master’s degree in Nurse Practitioner Studies.
- At least 1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, internal medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R), or orthopedics is preferred.
