About The Position

The University of Maryland Midtown Campus is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant to join its Emergency Department team. Under general supervision and in collaboration with physician colleagues and an interdisciplinary care team, the Physician Assistant provides comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals presenting with acute and emergent conditions.

Requirements

• Graduation from a Physician Assistant Training Program approved by the Board of Physician Quality Assurance.
• Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Licensure by the Maryland State Board of Physicians as a Physician’s Assistant.
• CPR certification.
• BLS certification.
• Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served on the assigned unit.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS and/or other relevant certifications, as required by the department.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals presenting with acute and emergent conditions.
• Collaborate with physician colleagues and an interdisciplinary care team.
• Provide care appropriate to the ages of patients served on the assigned unit.
