Emergency Medicine Physician
About The Position
Lake Regional Health System is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to provide nocturnist locum tenens coverage in its 35-bed Emergency Department in Osage Beach, Missouri. Coverage begins October 30, 2026, and continues on an ongoing basis. The department sees approximately 36,000 visits annually, with an average daily volume of 99 patients. The case mix is medium acuity, consistent with emergency medicine procedures, and the facility is a Level III Trauma Center. The physician will work 12-hour night shifts and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers. Hospital privileges are required. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered. The facility uses Meditech with Dragon for electronic medical records and has specialty backup from ICU, Stepdown, Level II Nursery, and Stroke Center services.
Requirements
- Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) preferred; ABIM or ABFM physicians with emergency medicine experience will be considered.
- Active Missouri medical license or ability to obtain one.
- ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
- Prior Emergency Medicine experience required.
- Hospital privileges required.

Responsibilities
- Provide nocturnist coverage in Lake Regional Health System’s 35-bed Emergency Department.
- Manage medium-acuity patients in a Level III Trauma Center.
- Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers during 12-hour shifts.
- Perform emergency procedures, including intubation, central line placement, laceration repair, and conscious sedation.
- Maintain accurate documentation using the Meditech EMR with Dragon.
