About The Position

Skilled Wound Care is hiring Emergency Medicine Physicians in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings. The role offers full-time or part-time options and a weekday daytime schedule, with no nights, weekends, holidays, on-call duties, or rotating shifts. Physicians use procedural skills such as surgical and sharp debridement, evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing, and complex wounds, and follow patients through healing. Comprehensive wound care training is provided, and previous wound care experience is not required. Compensation is based on per-patient and per-procedure pay, with quarterly bonus programs. The stated full-time average annual earnings are $250,000–$500,000, with no earning cap for independent contractors; top performers may earn $500,000 or more through performance bonuses. Candidates must complete confidential pre-employment DiSC testing and relevant skills testing.

Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
Unrestricted or clear medical license in the state of practice, or eligibility to obtain one.
DEA license, or eligibility to obtain one.
Complete pre-employment confidential DiSC testing and appropriate relevant skills testing.

Responsibilities

Perform surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures.
Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing, and complex wounds.
Use advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.
Collaborate in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings, following patients through healing.
Lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the area.
