About The Position

Jefferson Health is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) to join the JeffExpress Urgent Care team at Schuylkill Medical Plaza in Pottsville, PA. This urgent care center operates 7 days a week from 8 AM to 8 PM. The practice currently has 3 APCs, and the schedule is determined by departmental needs. As an APC within the Jefferson Health network, you will provide high-quality, on-demand care in collaboration with a skilled team, supported by the region's largest academic health system. This role offers a wide scope of practice, allowing you to manage minor injuries and illnesses, perform on-site procedures, and conduct point-of-care testing. You will work within a team-based model, utilizing Epic electronic medical records and having access to direct specialty referrals. The schedule is predictable and rotating, with no overnight shifts, and offers flexibility to work across multiple health centers. You will serve diverse patient populations in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas, providing compassionate and accessible care.

Requirements

• Current Pennsylvania state license as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner or ability to obtain one is required
• NCCPA Board Certification (PA)
• National NP Certification through AANP or ANCC
• Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care or a similar specialty
• Passion for clinical work to positively impact patient care, safety and experience

Nice To Haves

• Two years of relevant clinical experience as a PA, CRNP is preferred

Responsibilities

• Practice autonomously at the top of your license in high-volume, fast-paced settings.
