Physician Assistant - Tower Health Urgent Care Wyomissing
About The Position
Tower Health Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Advanced Practitioner to join its clinical team at the Wyomissing location. The Advanced Practice Practitioner (APP) evaluates, diagnoses, medically manages, and treats patients of all ages in an urgent care setting. Care includes recognizing, evaluating, stabilizing, and managing acute illness and injury, as well as performing specified physicals, including sports, pre-employment, and DOT physicals. The provider prescribes, administers, and/or dispenses medication for pediatric and adult patients and performs simple urgent care procedures, such as laceration repair, incision and drainage, simple foreign body removal, and splinting. The role includes EKG interpretation, initial X-ray interpretation, point-of-care testing, and review of lab work results, as well as a telehealth virtual care component. The position requires travel to two locations. Full-time positions involve three 12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend, and rotating holidays.
Requirements
- Master's degree.
- Complete and maintain competencies and trainings required for the role.
- BLS Certification.
- NCCPA Certification.
- Pennsylvania Physician Assistant License.
- Pennsylvania DEA License.
- DOT Medical Examiner Certification.
- Dictation and transcription skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Microsoft Office application skills.
Responsibilities
