About The Position

Sutter East Bay Medical Group is seeking a full-time Surgery Physician Assistant for its Oakland location. The position supports General Surgery and Surgical Oncology patients and involves a mix of assisting in the operating room—including robotic surgery—and seeing patients in clinic in consultation with surgeons. The Physician Assistant will collaborate with surgeons and may become eligible for shareholder status in the medical group after 24 months of employment.

Sutter East Bay Medical Group is a rapidly growing, multispecialty group of more than 400 clinicians practicing in over 25 specialties across Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. It is affiliated with the not-for-profit Sutter East Bay Medical Foundation, which provides operational and administrative support, including technology resources, so clinicians can focus on patient care.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience working in surgery.
• Current California State NP or PA license.
• Active DEA registration.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in in-basket coverage is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgery in the operating room, including robotic surgery.
• See General Surgery and Surgical Oncology patients in clinic, including in consultation with surgeons.
