About The Position
Holy Cross Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join its growing Cardiology team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The role works collaboratively with cardiologists, Advanced Practice Providers, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members. The practitioner evaluates, diagnoses, treats, educates, and provides ongoing management for patients with cardiac conditions across the continuum of care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- National Advanced Practice Registered Nurse certification or national board certification as a Physician Assistant.
- Current Physician Assistant or APRN license in the State of Florida.
- BLS and ACLS.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with the Epic Electronic Medical Record.
- Previous experience in Cardiology.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive cardiac assessments, including histories, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic studies.
- Manage chronic conditions.
- Evaluate and triage new patient referrals and follow-up visits.
- Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic testing.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans with collaborating physicians.
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and medication management.
- Participate in care coordination with other providers and specialties.
- Document patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in the Electronic Medical Record.
- Supervise stress tests and perform related clinical tasks and patient messaging.
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies, regulatory guidelines, and best-practice standards.
