About The Position

Prairie Cardiovascular Consultants is recruiting a General Cardiology Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner in Springfield, Illinois. The practice works in partnership with Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS). The role provides care as an advanced practice provider, with a Monday-through-Friday weekly schedule and rotating call. EPIC is the electronic medical record system. HSHS requires colleagues to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved medical or religious exemption.

Requirements

Unrestricted Illinois license before starting.
Board certified or board eligible.
A master's degree in nursing is required.
Licensed in the state of practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience in cardiology is preferred.
A doctoral degree in nursing is preferred.
Experience managing patients across the care continuum is preferred.
Board certification from the National Certification Corporation is preferred.
A controlled substance license in the state of practice is preferred.
A federal DEA license is preferred.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is preferred.
