About The Position
The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) practices medicine, including conducting examinations and writing prescriptions. Within a physician–APRN collaborative agreement, the APRN exercises autonomy in medical decision-making and provides a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services without a supervision requirement. The role may practice in several specialty areas, including occupational medicine, surgery, urgent care, family/internal medicine, and specialty care. At least one year of cardiology experience is preferred.
Requirements
- BSN required.
- MSN required.
- Successful completion of advanced practitioner training and certification as a practitioner from an approved nurse practitioner program.
- Must be eligible at all times to be insured for professional liability.
- Active RN license in Kentucky or a compact state.
- Current unrestricted license to practice as an APRN in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
- Board certification required.
- BLS certification required.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of cardiology experience preferred.
