About The Position

Wilson Health is seeking a motivated and highly skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Obstetrics & Gynecology team in a full-time position. The primary focus of this role will be providing first-assist support for GYN surgical procedures and Cesarean sections, along with supporting the OB/GYN team in the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current Ohio Physician Assistant license or eligibility for Ohio licensure
• NCCPA certification (or eligibility, as applicable)
• Current BLS certification; additional certifications as required by the position
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical and obstetric environment

Nice To Haves

• Surgical first-assist experience strongly preferred
• Experience in OB/GYN, gynecologic surgery, and/or obstetrics preferred
• Experience with robotic-assisted surgery is a plus and highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Serve as first surgical assistant for GYN procedures, including laparoscopic, hysteroscopic, vaginal, and open surgical cases as appropriate
• Provide first-assist support during Cesarean deliveries
• Assist physicians with preoperative and postoperative patient management
• Perform patient histories and physical examinations and assist with development of treatment plans
• Provide perioperative patient care, including surgical preparation and postoperative follow-up
• Assist with inpatient and outpatient OB/GYN patient management as needed
• Participate in the OB/GYN call rotation of 1:4
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, surgical staff, patients, and families
• Promote safe, compassionate, and evidence-based patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
