About The Position

This is a travel temporary assignment for a Physical Therapy Assistant in an LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care) skilled nursing facility setting in Lanham, Maryland. The contract is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/14/2026. The role involves implementing and monitoring rehab plans for LTAC patients under the supervision of a licensed PT, leading therapeutic exercises, administering modalities, documenting patient progress, and collaborating with the care team.

Requirements

Availability to start on 09/14/2026 and commit to a 13-week assignment
Ability to work a 5x8 day shift (08:00–16:30) in a LTAC/skilled nursing facility setting
Eligibility to work in the United States for a travel assignment
Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
Willingness to adhere to facility policies and documentation standards

Responsibilities

Implement and monitor rehab plans for LTAC patients under supervision of a licensed PT
Lead therapeutic exercises, gait training, functional activities, and activity tolerance progression
Administer modalities and manual therapy as outlined by the plan of care
Document patient progress, goals, and updates in the chart; communicate changes to the PT and care team
Collaborate with nursing and therapy staff to ensure continuity of care and safe patient handling
Uphold safety, infection control, and patient-centered care during all treatment sessions
