About The Position

Physical Therapy Assistant needed for a travel assignment with an LTAC focus in a skilled nursing setting located in Dimmitt, Texas, United States. This assignment involves outpatient and swing bed work with a caseload spanning ortho, cerebrovascular (stroke) rehab, and pediatric sports medicine.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of PTA experience
Ability to work in an outpatient and swing bed setting with an ortho emphasis, plus stroke rehab and pediatric sports medicine as part of the caseload
Availability to work 36 hours per week, Mon–Thu 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Strong documentation and communication skills
Must be able to work in the listed location and comply with facility policies

Responsibilities

Deliver physical therapy assistant services under supervision, supporting the plan of care developed by the PT.
Implement and monitor therapeutic interventions in outpatient and swing bed residents, with emphasis on ortho-focused activities.
Facilitate rehab for stroke patients and support pediatric sports medicine-related exercises as appropriate.
Assist with patient education, gait and transfer training, therapeutic exercises, and modalities as prescribed.
Document patient progress, update treatment notes, and communicate outcomes to the supervising PT and care team.
Ensure patient safety and proper equipment use; maintain a clean, organized treatment environment.
