About The Position

This is a travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) position specializing in Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) in Siler City, North Carolina. The assignment is for a 13-week duration, with a start date of 08/26/2026. The role involves working in a long-term care rehabilitation setting focused on post-acute recovery. The position offers a weekly pay range of $1,377 to $1,444 with guaranteed hours of 35 per week, and the shift is 5x8 days (daytime, 08:00–16:30).

Requirements

Current Physical Therapy Assistant license in North Carolina or eligibility to obtain licensure in NC.
BLS certification (or as required by facility policy).
Ability to work in a LTAC/long-term care rehabilitation setting.
Travel assignment eligibility and willingness to commit to a 13-week temporary placement.

Nice To Haves

1 year of PTA experience in rehabilitation settings preferred.

Responsibilities

Implement and monitor a prescribed physical therapy plan of care under supervision of a licensed PT.
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, range of motion, and strengthening programs.
Support functional activities of daily living and mobility, including transfers and use of assistive devices as appropriate.
Document patient progress, goals, and any changes in the electronic medical record; communicate with the supervising PT and interdisciplinary team.
Maintain patient safety, infection control, and equipment safety during therapy sessions.
