Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
About The Position
Powerback is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide facility-based rehabilitation services. The role implements physical therapy programs and activities, follows established recovery plans, and delivers therapy treatments to help patients restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities. The PTA adapts care to individual patient needs, collaborates with peers, and makes referrals when needed. The position prioritizes patients and ensures that patients and families receive high-quality service in a caring and compassionate environment. The role reports to the Director of Rehab.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program certified by the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required by the state of practice.
Responsibilities
- Implement physical therapy programs and activities.
- Follow developed recovery plans.
- Deliver therapy treatments.
- Adapt therapy to the needs of individual patients.
- Collaborate with peers and make referrals to support patients’ care needs.
- Ensure patients and their families receive high-quality, compassionate service.
