Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
About The Position
Powerback is hiring PRN Physical Therapy Assistants to provide patient-centered rehabilitation in an in-facility environment. The role implements physical therapy programs and activities, follows established recovery plans, and delivers therapy treatments to help patients restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities. The assistant works with patients as individuals, adapts to their needs, collaborates with peers, and makes referrals when appropriate. The position emphasizes helping patients and their families receive high-quality service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere. The role reports to the Director of Rehab.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program certified by the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required by the state of practice.
Responsibilities
- Implement physical therapy programs and activities.
- Follow developed patient recovery plans.
- Deliver therapy treatments.
- Address patients as individuals and adapt care to their needs.
- Collaborate with peers and make referrals to support patient care.
- Help ensure patients and families receive high-quality service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.
