Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
About The Position
Dignity Health East Valley Rehabilitation Hospital - Chandler, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and Dignity Health, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join their team. This role is part of a commitment to prioritize employee well-being to enable exceptional patient care. The hospital offers customized rehabilitation programs for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. The PTA will administer physical therapy interventions as directed by a supervising PT, assist with patient mobility and exercise, monitor patient responses, maintain documentation, and ensure a safe treatment environment.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree from a PTA program.
- Current PTA license in state of practice.
- CPR certification required.
Nice To Haves
- Rehab or acute care experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Administer physical therapy interventions as directed by the supervising PT.
- Assist in patient mobility and exercise routines.
- Monitor patient responses and report progress to PT.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for treatment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
