About The Position
Under the direction and supervision of physical therapists, physical therapist assistants treat patients through exercise, massage, gait and balance training, and other therapeutic interventions. They record patients' progress and report the results of each treatment to the physical therapist. Implement components of patient care, obtain data related to the treatments provided, and collaborate with the PT to modify care as necessary. Assist the physical therapist in the treatment of individuals. Help patients stretch and exercise certain muscle groups. Work directly with Physical Therapist to assist patients. Keep physical therapy area clean and organized. Teach patients techniques like balance training.
Requirements
- PTA License for the State applying or Compact if applicable - Required
- Physical Therapy Assistant experience: 2+ years - Required
Nice To Haves
- LTC experience - Preferred
- Prior Travel experience – Preferred
- BLS Certification - Preferred
