About The Position

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital St. Louis, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health, is hiring a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant. The hospital is a 90-bed rehabilitation facility providing inpatient services to patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. The role provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, helping restore function and improve mobility. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. New graduates are accepted.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree from a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Missouri.
• CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Rehabilitation or acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy interventions as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Assist patients with mobility and exercise routines.
• Monitor patient responses and report progress to the Physical Therapist.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Ensure a safe and clean treatment environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
