About The Position
We are seeking a motivated, reliable, and collaborative Physical Therapy Assistant to join a continuously expanding practice full time in Panama City, Florida. The role supports physical therapists in providing personalized care and helping patients achieve their health and wellness goals. The practice has served the Panama City community for over 12 years and offers customized treatment plans using traditional and advanced therapeutic methods. Its services include orthopedic surgery, joint replacement, pain management, sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, and hip resurfacing.
Requirements
- Graduation from a Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Florida Physical Therapy Assistant license.
Responsibilities
- Review patients’ health and medical histories, pertinent medical records and imaging, and physical therapists’ notes.
- Assist with implementing physical therapy treatment programs based on each patient’s needs.
- Assist patients through phases of physical therapy treatment, including exercise instruction, modern modalities, and activities of daily living.
- Educate patients about the benefits of physical therapy, maintaining their treatment plans, and home exercises.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, record treatments in patient charts, and document patient conditions and responses after each visit.
- Collaborate with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Communicate effectively with staff and patients.
- Contribute to the development and promotion of the practice.
- Create a positive patient experience through a friendly and focused attitude.
