About The Position

The Cleaner performs cleaning and general upkeep of assigned areas at several locations across Bay County, Florida. The role requires a reliable vehicle for traveling between buildings. Assigned locations include the Lynn Haven, Callaway, and Panama City Beach Tax Collector offices on weekdays after 5 PM or 5:30 PM, and the Medical Examiner’s Office and Bay Line Drive Administration Building on Fridays between 8 AM and 4 PM. The stated work schedule is 5 PM–9 PM. Mileage for travel between buildings is added biweekly. Cleaning duties may include emptying trash and replacing liners; dusting, wiping, and spot-cleaning furniture, fixtures, and equipment; cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and replenishing paper and soap supplies; sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors; and cleaning cafeterias or eating areas. Other duties may be assigned as required by the contract. Cleaners must follow safety procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment, report irregularities or damage, comply with contract security protocols, wear company-issued shirts, and maintain a professional and courteous demeanor.

Requirements

Previous experience in a janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning role.
Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with the public.
Positive attitude and strong, reliable work ethic.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Punctuality and dependability.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds for the duration of the shift.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
A reliable vehicle for travel between locations.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain assigned areas.
Empty trash and replace can liners.
Dust, wipe, and spot-clean furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
Clean and sanitize bathroom fixtures and floors, and restock paper and soap supplies.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
Clean cafeterias or eating areas.
Perform other duties required by the contract.
Follow safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Communicate irregularities and equipment or building damage.
Follow security protocols required by the contract.
Wear company-issued shirts and maintain a professional, courteous demeanor.
Travel between assigned buildings across Bay County.
