About The Position

The Cleaner performs cleaning and general upkeep of an assigned area. This role requires cleaning two buildings: the State Attorney's Office and the Public Defender's Office. Cleaners are assigned areas and may perform one or more of the listed cleaning duties. The position requires following safety procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment, communicating irregularities or damage, following contract security protocols, wearing company-issued shirts, and maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor. The job requires a state background check and drug screening. Entry wage is $15.00 per hour. The work schedule is 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Requirements

Previous experience in a janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning role.
Demonstrated good customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with the public.
Positive attitude and strong, reliable work ethic.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Punctuality and dependability.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds for the duration of the shift.
Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Empty trash and replace can liners.
Dust, wipe, and spot-clean furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
Clean and sanitize bathroom fixtures and floors, and restock paper and soap supplies.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
Clean cafeterias or eating areas.
Perform other duties mandated by the scope of the contract.
Follow safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Communicate irregularities, equipment issues, or building damage.
Follow security protocols dictated by the contract.
Wear company-issued shirts.
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor.
