About The Position

The Shuttle Cleaner performs cleaning and general upkeep of assigned areas at several buildings across Bay County, Florida. The role requires a reliable vehicle to travel between locations. Assigned locations and schedules include the Lynn Haven Tax Collector Office Monday through Friday after 5:30 PM; the Callaway Tax Collector Office Monday through Friday after 5 PM; the PCB Tax Collector Office Monday through Friday after 5 PM; and the Medical Examiner's Office and Bay Line Dr. Admin Building on Fridays, anytime between 8 AM and 4 PM. The Cleaner may empty trash and replace liners; dust, wipe, and spot-clean furniture, fixtures, and equipment; clean and sanitize bathroom fixtures and floors and restock paper and soap supplies; sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; clean cafeterias or eating areas; and perform other duties required by the contract. Cleaners must follow safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment, report irregularities or equipment and building damage, follow contract-specific security protocols, wear company-issued shirts, and maintain a professional and courteous demeanor. This is a part-time position. The listed work schedule is 5 PM to 9 PM. Entry wage is $15.00 per hour, and mileage is added biweekly for travel between buildings.

Requirements

Previous experience in a janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning role.
Demonstrated good customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with the public.
Positive attitude and strong, reliable work ethic.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Punctuality and dependability.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs for the duration of the shift.
Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
Must have a good, reliable vehicle to drive to various locations across Bay County.

Responsibilities

Empty trash and replace can liners.
