About The Position

Adoration Home Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide patient-centered home health care in the Wheeling, West Virginia coverage area. The role offers one-to-one patient care, flexible scheduling options, independent work with team support, and a full-time schedule. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available to external candidates only.

The PTA provides physical therapy services planned, delegated, and supervised by a qualified Physical Therapist, following each patient’s Plan of Treatment. The position includes coordinating with the Physical Therapist, supporting patients’ functional progress with adaptive equipment, and maintaining treatment and billing documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Hold a current unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state where practicing.
• Hold current Basic Life Support or cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification, in accordance with state regulations.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of work experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services planned, delegated, and supervised by a qualified Physical Therapist in accordance with the patient’s Plan of Treatment.
• Regularly confer with the Physical Therapist about the patient’s treatment plan, progress toward goals, questions, and concerns.
• Communicate patient needs and progress to the Physical Therapist of record.
• Assist in securing special adaptive equipment to improve patient function and incorporate adaptive equipment into the rehabilitation program.
• Maintain and submit patient treatment and billing documentation in the formats and timelines required by the company, facility, funding source, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
