About The Position

Elara Caring is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide home care therapy services. The role contributes to the company’s mission of delivering the right care, at the right time, in the right place, while supporting patients in improving mobility, function, and independence. Services are provided under a treatment plan established by a Physical Therapist and in accordance with physician orders, clinical standards, and state practice guidelines.

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record, or have reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and assigned work locations.

Nice To Haves

• At least 6 months of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services according to the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist.
• Help patients work toward therapy goals that improve mobility, function, and independence.
• Monitor patient progress and promptly report changes in condition or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home therapy programs and techniques to support continued progress.
• Teach patients and families how to safely use assistive devices, including canes, walkers, wheelchairs, prosthetics, and orthotics.
• Deliver safe, high-quality therapy services in accordance with physician orders, clinical standards, and state practice guidelines.
