About The Position

Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking a PTA for a travel contract position in Jasper, TX. This role involves treating patients through exercise, massage, gait and balance training, and other therapeutic interventions under the direction and supervision of physical therapists. The PTA will record patients' progress, report treatment results to the physical therapist, implement components of patient care, obtain data related to treatments, and collaborate with the PT to modify care as necessary. Responsibilities include assisting the physical therapist, helping patients stretch and exercise muscle groups, teaching patients techniques like balance training, and keeping the physical therapy area clean and organized.

Requirements

Physical Therapy Assistant experience: 2+ years - Required
PTA License for the State applying or Compact if applicable - Required
BLS Certification - Preferred

Nice To Haves

LTC experience - Preferred
Prior Travel experience – Preferred

Responsibilities

Treat patients through exercise, massage, gait and balance training, and other therapeutic interventions.
