About The Position
Amedisys is hiring a Physical Therapist to provide home health care on a PRN weekend schedule. The role helps patients heal at home by supporting their ability to maintain, restore, and improve movement, activity, and function. The Physical Therapist provides interventions, conducts reexaminations at least every 30 days, modifies interventions as needed, and performs discharge planning. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Current license to practice physical therapy in the state where assigned to work.
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy educational program as established by CAPTE.
- One year of related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care. Candidates with less than one year of experience require regional clinical leader approval and appropriate mentoring and/or participation in a residency program.
- Current CPR certification.
