About The Position
Amedisys is hiring a Physical Therapist to provide home health care. The position is full-time and requires work on Saturday, Sunday, and one additional day of the employee’s choice. The role focuses on helping patients heal at home and maintain, restore, and improve movement, activity, and function. The Physical Therapist provides interventions, conducts reexaminations at least every 30 days, modifies interventions as needed, and performs discharge planning. Other duties may be assigned. Compensation may vary by geographic market and depends on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Requirements
- Current license to practice physical therapy in the state assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
- One year of related physical therapy experience for physical therapists entering home health care.
- If experience is less than one year, approval from regional clinical leaders and appropriate mentoring and/or participation in a residency program are required.
- Current CPR certification.
