Physical Therapist-Good Sam Hospital Full Time Day
About The Position
TriHealth is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide acute-care rehabilitation at Good Sam Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role evaluates patients, plans and delivers therapeutic interventions, and coordinates treatment with the transdisciplinary care team, patients, and families. Care is collaborative, patient-focused, based on functional outcomes, and centered on patients and families. The Physical Therapist also supervises assistants, interns, and other support personnel; contributes to program development, continuous improvement, clinical education, and staff, hospital, and community in-services; and supports patients’ recovery through individualized care and discharge planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Physical Therapist qualification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop goal-driven treatment plans that account for age, educational level, family support, cultural factors, and psychosocial issues.
- Provide therapeutic management, modify goals, educate patients and families, conduct reassessments, plan for discharge, and refer patients to appropriate professional programs.
- Coordinate and communicate treatment programs with team members, patients, and families.
- Maintain required documentation within departmental time frames and guidelines.
- Meet established departmental productivity levels and manage time effectively.
- Contribute to program development, continuous improvement, special projects, or program coordination.
- Present and implement treatment techniques, procedures, and group treatment ideas; participate in student supervision, equipment requests, and team activities as approved by management.
- Pursue continuing education and professional development to advance knowledge, technical skills, and treatment techniques.
- Directly supervise assistants, interns, and other support personnel.
- Participate in clinical education and provide in-services to staff, hospital personnel, and the community.
- Demonstrate TriHealth SERVE standards and ALWAYS behaviors in interactions with patients, guests, team members, and the community.
