About The Position
TriHealth is seeking a skilled, compassionate Physical Therapist to provide acute-care rehabilitation at Good Sam Hospital. The role evaluates patients, plans and delivers therapeutic interventions through a transdisciplinary team approach, and coordinates treatment programs with team members and patients’ families. The clinician participates in a collaborative team focused on functional outcomes and patient- and family-centered care. The Physical Therapist directly supervises assistants, interns, and other support personnel; contributes to program development, continuous improvement, and clinical education; and provides in-services to staff, hospital personnel, and the community. The position is full-time, day schedule, at Good Sam Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Physical Therapist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and provide therapeutic management, goal modification, and patient/family education.
- Plan and deliver goal-driven treatment plans that take into account the patient's age, educational level, family support, and cultural and psychosocial issues.
- Provide ongoing discharge planning, referrals to appropriate professional programs, and periodic reassessments.
- Coordinate treatment programs with team members, patients, and families.
- Maintain required documentation within departmental time frames and guidelines.
- Meet established departmental productivity levels and manage time effectively.
- Contribute to department or center program development through continuous improvement, special projects, or program coordinator responsibilities.
- Contribute to the department by presenting and implementing treatment techniques, procedures, or group treatment ideas; supervising students; requesting equipment; and participating in the team and other management-approved activities.
- Further professional knowledge, technical skills, and treatment techniques through continuing education, reading, practice, training, and other professional activities.
- Directly supervise assistants, interns, and other support personnel.
- Provide in-services to staff, hospital personnel, and the community.
