About The Position

Adventist Health Simi Valley is a healthcare provider in Southern California, with a 144-bed hospital, home care services, and services throughout Ventura County. The Physical Therapist plans and conducts segments of treatment programs designed to restore and improve patients’ physical, social, and mental functions while meeting department objectives. The role also serves as a co-leader in an interdisciplinary approach to patient groups.

Requirements

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is required for those who obtained their license on or after January 2016; a foreign equivalent is accepted.
• Physical Therapy licensure in the state of practice is required.
• CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy is required.
• AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS certification is required.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of Physical Therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete evaluations to ensure quality standards and address assessment areas requiring attention.
• Use appropriate clinical techniques and tools and establish individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Provide therapy interventions using appropriate treatment protocols and techniques.
• Establish individualized care and discharge plans and ensure they are communicated to appropriate parties.
• Complete comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines.
• Supervise assigned assistants.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
