About The Position

Amedisys is hiring a part-time, day-shift Physical Therapist serving Suffolk County. The role helps patients maintain, restore, and improve movement, activity, and function in the comfort of their homes. The therapist provides interventions, conducts reexaminations at least every 30 days, modifies interventions as needed, and performs discharge planning. Compensation is $57.00–$67.00 per hour during orientation, followed by a point pay system. Benefit eligibility varies by position and shift status; participation in some listed benefits requires enrollment in an Amedisys medical plan.

Requirements

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the state assigned.
• Graduate of a physical therapy educational program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year of related physical therapy experience for physical therapists entering home health care.
• Physical therapists with less than one year of experience require approval from regional clinical leaders and appropriate mentoring and/or participation in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
