New Graduate Physical Therapist - Outpatient
About The Position
Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is hiring new graduate Physical Therapists for outpatient clinics in Long Island, Westchester, Brooklyn, Queens, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. New graduates receive individualized mentorship, hands-on learning opportunities, and resources to help them transition from student to practicing clinician. They work in a supportive outpatient environment alongside skilled therapists, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and a collaborative team. The company offers a mentorship program for clinicians with under three years of experience, leadership development programs, and in-house one-to-one NPTE tutoring. Through a partnership with Touro University, therapists may pursue an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) residency while working full-time; the program takes 12–18 months and Metro covers the full cost.
Requirements
- Licensed Physical Therapist in New York or eligible for licensure.
- First Aid, AED, and CPR certifications are mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ needs for physical therapy and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide care and treatment based on physician care plans, agency policy, and professional standards of care.
- Instruct family members, physical therapist assistants, home health aides, and other caregivers in appropriate physical therapy techniques.
