About The Position

The Physical Therapist evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs, primarily in the inpatient rehabilitation unit, with possible crossover to inpatient therapy. The position is at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc, Michigan, and is scheduled for full-time day shifts with rotating weekends and holidays. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy and five years of experience, or a master’s or doctorate degree from a Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)-accredited program.
Current State of Michigan licensure, or eligibility to become licensed within 30 days of applying.
BLS Provider certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, obtained within 90 days of hire or job transfer.

Responsibilities

Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients’ conditions.
Establish, revise, and evaluate a plan of care appropriate to identified problems and involving the patient and family.
Perform therapy interventions using standard physical therapy techniques and skills appropriate to each patient’s condition.
Oversee the activities of physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel.
