Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehab & Acute Care Units
About The Position
The Physical Therapist works in Munson Medical Center’s Inpatient Rehab and Acute Care Units in partnership with Mary Free Bed. The role is responsible for assessing patients’ physical therapy needs and planning and carrying out individual treatment plans in accordance with Michigan licensure requirements and the physical therapy scope of practice. The therapist also provides patients and their families with education and support, including written instructions when needed, and collaborates with department and interdepartmental teams to improve processes and clinical treatment. The position is based at Munson Medical Center, 1105 Sixth St, Traverse City, Michigan. It is scheduled for 36 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with an every-other-weekend rotation. A $6,750 sign-on bonus is offered, subject to terms and conditions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
- State of Michigan Physical Therapy License.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ needs for physical therapy.
- Plan and execute individual treatment plans in accordance with Michigan licensure requirements and the physical therapy scope of practice.
- Provide patients and their families with education and support, including written instructions as necessary.
- Participate in departmental and interdepartmental efforts to improve processes and clinical treatment.
